GTA V: 5 Rumours That Were Totally False

5. The Main Character Would Be Called Albert De Silva

Gta V Michael For a long while, it was suggested there would only be one protagonist, as was previously the tradition with Grand Theft Auto games, and that he would be called Albert De Silva. "Albert" was described as "half Hispanic" who was once a part of a Vice City crime family, but since moved and settled down in Los Santos with his kids to try and start a new life. He was said have had a son called Kevin, who would be "your average Call of Duty" player - lazy, useless and always shouting abuse online. Sound familiar? That's because that very character, and some of these themes, exist in GTA V. The son, Kevin, is of course instead called Jimmy, and his dad, the playable character, is called Michael, too, Michael De Santa, not "De Silva". Though he did move to settle down, that much is true at least. In the end, he also turned out to be one of three central characters, later being joined by Franklin Clinton and the inimitable Trevor Phillips to make up the game's three protagonists.
