GTA V: 5 Ways It Could Fail

4. The Writing

This is a less of a common complaint, and one that only popped up majorly when the DLC's launched. The writing of GTA IV featured insane levels of swearing, and while coarseness doesn't offend me personally, hearing F bombs so many times just gets boring and shows a lack of imagination. It also gives the impression that a 13 year old wrote the game, as there is simply no need to fill the script up with wasted words. If Rockstar go that way again, populating their underworld of criminals with limited and colourful vocabularies, it will be a huge shame. How to fix it? Simply, don't go that way. Max Payne 3 had a great script that still managed to have lots of swearing, yet remained mature and somewhat sophisticated. Not a single line was corny or out of place, and we really got a chance to see a deeper Max than we were used to. GTA V needs to be build a character story, not one about the various uses of the F word, despite how versatile it is.

I live in Australia, love to write and play games. So what better than writing about games? I love all things action and fantasy, as well as my occasional shooter. I literally cannot wait for GTAV!
