8. The City Size Will Be Controversial
Once the map was leaked, one of the more prominent online reactions was shock at the "small" size of the Los Santos city portion of the map. As many have already noted, it is important to remember
scale, and that the city part of the GTA V map is actually roughly the size of the
entire GTA IV map, which wasn't exactly tiny itself. Furthermore, the map clearly does not include the smaller backroads that exist within the city, and comparing the map to the various "zoom" sequences we've seen in the trailers makes it clear that there's far more detail than we've seen. Though it might seem slightly disappointing to those who wish Rockstar had expanded the city to take up more of the map, it really is a case of waiting until Tuesday to see it for yourself. I seriously doubt that many of us are going to be complaining about the city size then...
