3. You Can Go To The Cinema
Yep, when you're taking some time off from being a murderous psychopath, you can buy yourself some popcorn, sit yourself down, and watch a good flick at one of Los Santos' local cinemas. The cinemas found in-game
are supposedly filled with movies and trailers, and feature a Black & White flick called Capolavoro; a Disney Knockoff named Freds and a Toy Story knockoff called Neurotic Toys. Gamers can also watch The Simian, a 'Planet of the Apes' style movie about chimpanzees taking over the world after being, erm, exploited too much by humans. This has Rockstar's fingerprints all over it, and the developers have created numerous parodies such as these in their in-game media in the past. Going to the cinema also harks back to the Comedy Clubs the company incorporated in GTA IV which allowed the player to go and watch Ricky Gervais perform a stand-up routine, for example. We like how there are going to be more things to do in GTA than just going around shooting people and stealing cars. Now, we can watch all that stuff happening on the big screen for a change.
