GTA V New Character Trailers: 5 Gameplay Elements They Potentially Reveal

5. Destructible Environments?

Does Michael's video potentially reveal a gameplay element new to the Grand Theft Auto series? During the clip, in which the mobster-turned-family-guy is regaling his therapist with his life stories, we see his reckless side, where he chases his daughter's boyfriend out of the house, before we apparently see him manning a truck as it smashes into another vehicle, tipping it onto its side and appearing to smash it right through a wall. Now, this could just be footage from a mission cut-scene, though that remains unclear at this stage. Let's imagine though that destructible environments is a gameplay element that is possible outside cut-scenes. How amazing would that be? Long-term fans of the series will tell you that Rockstar don't really like you wrecking the terrain, and usually only allow you to knock down the occasional lamp post or two during your free roaming escapades, but we believe if they took a backseat with that and actually allowed us to take down walls and such, GTA V would have a much more immersible feel to it. Destructible environments is a feature I have long wanted in a GTA game, and perhaps it will finally be included in GTA V.
