GTA V New-Gen Release Date And 16 Hyper-Detailed Screenshots

Cheer up, Trevor! You've never looked better! Just look at those pillow-soft folds in the sleeve of your hoody, those razor sharp flecks of light and self-cast shadows silhouetting your scowl, and that uncanny, oily glow of human skin. But forget you and your nuanced lighting! That rusty grit, chipped and caked on the handrail beside you, is also crystal clear. That proverbial sea of headlights behind you? They are all connected to physical cars with people inside them and separate physics to govern their explosive chain reaction, should you "accidentally" drop a grenade off the overpass. Why so serious, Trevor? Did you think we'd forgotten about you?

It's true, Rockstar usually likes to give us a healthier lead-up to a games release. So, recently, with hardly a word regarding the new-gen version of GTA V that was promised for this Fall, we€™d started to think it€™d slipped into 2015--like every other game. As of this week, we finally know for certain that GTA V is coming to the PS4 and Xbox One on November 18th, with a PC release the following January. With that confirmation comes a bag full of ultra sexy, high-res pics captured in-engine, showcasing all the technical improvements Rockstar has made to an already obscenely detailed game.

Thanks to current-gen processing power and a complete visual overhaul, our three lead characters are looking sharper than ever in-action, the cars are sleeker, the getaways are grander, the skies are bluer and the world is brimming with even more absurd levels of polish.
