The world's greatest video game (you know it will be) Grand Theft Auto 5 has had some lovely little tidbits of previously unheard information come from Japanese Video Game magazine 'Famitsu'. We have known for a while now that Los Santos Gang Banger 'Franklin' (one of the three protagonists) has a Rottweiler called 'Chop' who follows him around everywhere. The gameplay trailer released a few weeks ago confirmed Franklin is to be followed by his little furry companion, yet the news about Chop, according to the magazine, is that you will supposedly be able to pimp him out with customization; providing him with dog collars/Neckerchiefs/ Camp little bow ties that swirl around (maybe). This only adds to the wealth of options that were showcased in the gameplay reveal trailer, making it seemingly Rockstars most expansive game to date. The report goes on to speculate that you need to be careful with Chop, although he will be able to sic targets, there is also the danger you could lose him. Imagine that? Hopefully you will have the opportunity to put up posters for him, await a phone call, give the reward to the finder and them murder them in cold blood to get your money back - Come on, this is GTA, who hasn't bludgeoned a prostitute to death to get their money back...Anyone? Chop also opens up the wildlife possibility as a whole, with the report going on to say that there will be 15 types of wildlife that are all available to hunt if the player is so inclined. And boy, are we inclined. There is also detail in the report which suggests each of the three characters will have their own distinct 'walk' - not at all surprising considering Rockstars love for detail coupled with the difference in strides between Niko Bellic/Johnny Klebitz/Luis Lopez from GTA IV plus it's expansions. One bonus nugget of info that the report confirmed is that Trevor and Michael will take part in some sort of underwater story mission. So far, underwater exploration has only been sold as a side mission or recreational after-thought, so it is nice to hear Rockstar are not wasting any avenue of their huge underwater creation.
It is safe to say that little smidgens of information will come out over the next few weeks as the hype builds up, and if this is anything to go by, the 17th September 2013 cannot come soon enough.
