In the ongoing race for all things battle royale-dominated, newcomer to the console scene H1Z1 has put one hell of a firm foot forward. Existing on PC for years, the game's battle royale component was initially coded by PlayerUnknown himself, Brendan Greene.
Greene would later go on to create PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, ensnaring the popular vote as the military battle royale game on the market. Now, after years of trying to get H1Z1 to work on consoles, a once-set-in-stone console exclusivity deal looks to have transformed into the PS4 getting first dibs.
Thus, now we've got Xbox with PUBG, and PS4 with H1Z1: Battle Royale. The former has a complex and overlapping history, but one that ultimately resulted in two phenomenal BR games, developed at one point or another by the same person. Thankfully, both H1Z1 and PUBG are extremely competent and overflowing with tactical options if you're going to take the top spot.
Simply because there's so much mechanical DNA between the two, many PUBG tactics will make the transition - but that's only scratching the surface of what you'll need to do, to take the top spot.
