Halo: Master Chief Collection - 10 Issues 343 STILL Need To Fix

9. Playlist Choices

343 have tried to be as fair as possible when it comes to the selection of playlists available in matchmaking by using polls and community suggestions to try and make everyone happy. Naturally, it's never going to be possible for them to please everyone, but some of their decisions have baffled the Halo community.

Making the Lone Wolves Free-For-All playlist Halo 3-only and not adding in the ranking system seems like a bizarre move, plus the absence of hugely popular gametypes like Snipers, SWAT, and Infection has also left many Halo fans scratching their heads.

In addition, the inclusion of 14 separate multiplayer playlists in a game with a very small population might not have been the smartest idea, and many players have been complaining of long waiting times to find a game, with a few of the playlists seeming to be almost entirely empty.

The MCC is going to live or die by its multiplayer and the choice of playlists will have a huge influence on that. 343 need to make continuous efforts here, listening to their forum users and fans in order to provide the maps and modes people want the most, even if that means that one or two of the Halo titles (we're looking at you, Halo 4) get a little less exposure.
