How The Assassin's Creed Script Should Read

Ubisoft Motion Pictures has secured an amazing actor for their Assassin's Creed adaptation, but they're still missing one huge component...the script.

It's a great thing to watch Ubisoft take film adaptations into their own hands. With dozens of gaming franchises being lost in translation once Hollywood gets their tight grip around gamings heart and soul, it will be very interesting to see what happens with Ubisoft Motion Pictures taking full control of bringing their gaming successes to life on film. With the recent news that Michael Fassbender would be starring in, and co-producing, the Assassin's Creed film adaptation, it should go without saying that we were quite excited. It got us thinkin' about how should the script could actually read. Should it begin by following Desmond as he is kidnapped by the secret society, or should it start us in the middle of the action with the audience completely unaware that the events in the past are simply memories Desmond is accessing through the Animus? There are numerous routes that Ubisoft Motion Pictures could venture down with their adaptation, and we thought we'd offer up our idea for how the film could start. Without further delay, check out our first pages for the Assassin's Creed script: What do you think? Is this a great start to the film, or have we completely missed the mark? Are you excited to finally see Altair on the big screen from film's beginning, or should Ubisoft be ease viewers into the story by presenting it in modern day to start? Be sure to give us your thoughts in the comments below, and don't forget to tell us who you think would be the perfect director!
