2. Competitive Players May Find Multiplayer Unbalanced

Injustice 2 Batman Superman

Any competitive fighting game fans who've played a NetherRealm Studios game before shouldn't be surprised that Injustice 2 doesn't put a huge emphasis on a balanced multiplayer offering, because their priority has always been creating an enjoyable experience for a wide base of players rather than catering rigidly to the hardcore crowd.

As such, online multiplayer may prove a somewhat frustrating experience for serious players due to the game's focus on collecting gear that can potentially unbalance battles, though it's worth mentioning that stat buffs can be turned off entirely to level the playing field somewhat.

Still, unlike Street Fighter V and the upcoming Tekken 6, Injustice just isn't massively concerned with nurturing a fierce competitive scene, so if you're into that, this may not be the game for you.
