Mass Effect 3: 10 Reason We're Still Playing It

Mass Effect 3 is one of my favourite games of all time. In fact, it's my second favourite to be precise. My hype for the game was through the roof, and for the most part, it delivered. It was also a commercial success, selling 3.97 million copies to date. Although the ending was disappointing and some fans didn't like the events played out in Shepard's last story, a lot of fans were very happy with the way the game turned out. And there was a lot of reason to be happy with Mass Effect 3. We finally got to see our decisions play out, and the whole trilogy wrapped up in grand fashion. Even though a new entry was recently announced, we're still playing ME3 quite a bit. Here's why.

10. The Classes

Mass Effect 3's combat revolves around the use of powers and abilities, some of which are exclusive to a certain class. The way each class plays out is quite differently as each has their own powers, strengths, weaknesses and role in combat. This helps add massive replay value to the game, as each play through can be wildly different from the one before. On top of that, you can almost never reach the level cap in one play through, so playing through again as the same class yields even more power and weapon bonuses. And then there's the multiplayer classes. Each new online DLC brings us multiple new characters for each class. Even the new races bring their own powers, evades, melee moves and combat roles. The class variety is quite impressive, and each does play quite differently. Sure, it's a shame not to see our class reflected in interrupt moments, but it' still a blast to use each class.
