Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut Free DLC to Clarify Ending

Bioware are to release free DLC to clarify the somewhat controversial ending.

Bioware have confirmed that they are to release a free piece of DLC called Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut. The DLC is designed to €˜expand upon the events€™ seen at the end of the game through additional cinematic scenes, essentially clarifying the ending and addressing the concerns felt by some Mass Effect fans who felt that too much was left unanswered.
€œWe are all incredibly proud of Mass Effect 3 and the work done by Casey Hudson and team,€ said BioWare co-founder Ray Muzyka. €œSince launch, we have had time to listen to the feedback from our most passionate fans and we are responding. €œWith the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut we think we have struck a good balance in delivering the answers players are looking for while maintaining the team€™s artistic vision for the end of this story arc in the Mass Effect universe.€ €œWe have reprioritized our post-launch development efforts to provide the fans who want more closure with even more context and clarity to the ending of the game, in a way that will feel more personalized for each player,€ added executive producer Casey Hudson. Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut will be available for download this summer on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC for free.
So how you feel about this news? The uproar felt by some fans has been well covered by the media, but did you dislike the ending enough to warrant demanding a new ending? Or do you think differently? Try and keep it spoiler free though folks, for those who have yet to finish it.
