Mass Effect 4: 10 Most Believable Rumours You Need To Know

From Xbox One exclusivity to a certain Captain's child being the main character...

Bioware's sci-fi baby has a whole lot to live up to, as although part three's ending has been roundly trounced and dragged through many a field backwards, it's time to move on. There's an entire galaxy of potential out there, and with the company themselves teasing out some fan-baiting premises like entirely new casts of characters and a whole galaxy of planets to discover, it seems they're well aware of which other aspects worked very well, which need expanding and which can fall to the wayside for the sake of focus. And let's face it, if there was one thing missing from Mass Effect 3 the more you read any press releases from the time and then and got to play it, it was a lack of focus. Bioware appeared to be trying to peg ME3 as 'perfect for newcomers', even though they'd be hopping in on the third instalment (why? Who knows) as oppose to doubling-down on the level of RPG greatness fans had come to love that was already near-perfect in ME2. It's something that Metal Gear Solid 4 attempted to do as well, even though the majority of that game was comprised of the most self-indulgent (and fan-pleasing) philosophical plot-babble ever conceived. The point to take away is an established franchise shouldn't curtail it's accessibility to newcomers. With this being the fourth instalment in the series no matter what they decide to call it, the fanbase is more than ready for another deep-space adventure. It's about time Bioware doubled down on what they do best - with these current rumours providing a pretty sweet picture of what's to come if they're true.
