Mass Effect 4: 10 New Things We Learned From Comic-Con

10. A Human Protagonist

One of the key things discussed at the Comic-Con panel was the identity of the playable protagonist in the upcoming Mass Effect game. Despite rumours circulating that the main character would have the option of being one of the various alien races, it appears that BioWare have decided to once again keep them human. While it's somewhat disappointing that we won't be seeing a Turian 'Shepard' this time round, there are several reasons for keeping the main character human. Primarily, it keeps things at least somewhat familiar in a universe that's otherwise wholly alien to players. While an alien protagonist might be interesting, the game may simply be too unrelatable without a human element. It's also looking like a human protagonist may be a necessity for the plot of Mass Effect 4, but more on that later.

Tom Butler hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
