Mass Effect 4: 10 Things We Want From BioWare's New Saga

9. The Ramifications Of Shepard's Choice

The consequences of Shepard's choice is unavoidably going to create huge changes within the Galaxy. When making this sequel, these choices can not be ignored, but how exactly can each of these endings play out in future? With the control ending, Shepard's consciousness controls the Reapers, altering their consuming purpose to shepherding life to achieve the possibilities they have the potential to reach, becoming the guardians they were meant to be. How cool would it be to see these enormous protectors guarding life throughout the galaxy, and how far if none at all are they involved with council and daily life of galactic society. Synthesis's metaphor of Joker and EDI entering nature in its youth, clearly represents Adam and Eve, symbolizing the birth of hybrids. This induction could add a whole other layer to Mass Effect, exploring concepts of how Synthetic and Organic now interact, taking the concept of tech augmentation to an whole other level. And lastly destroy: with all synthetics and mass relays destroyed, it would seem most solar systems have been left in seclusion for an unknown amount of time. Because of this, it could give enemies of the council the chance do whatever assault the council while there at their weakest. Regardless of your choice, each ending provides radically different paths leading into this new chapter.
