Mass Effect Andromeda: 10 Impressions From The First 10 Hours

10. The Character Creator Is Boring & Bland

Probably the most immediately disappointing aspect of Andromeda is its utterly effortless character creator. Few were expecting something miraculous, but it's pretty embarrassing that, in the five years since the last game, customisation has improved so little.

Options are limited, it feels too similar to the previous games, and the non-Ryder faces in particular look incredibly garish for a game releasing in 2017.

Weirdly, it's also not possible to make a totally pale white character, and while some stupid people will deem it to be "anti-white propaganda", it's really just an incredibly strange restriction.

BioWare are apparently already looking into options for a patch, but expect a major fan s***storm when the game hits stores.
