Max Payne 3 Double XP Weekend Starts Tomorrow
Rockstar is gearing up for the first Double XP event, so get ready to hit Legendary status much, much quicker!
Oh yes, it's true. The first Max Payne 3 Double XP event is set to kick off tomorrow, Friday July 6th, and is set to end Sunday night. Players will be gaining twice the points for each kill, each bag drop, each time you put those silly Vendetta challengers to shame, and much more. If you're grinding to hit Legendary status, be sure to play this weekend, because you'll probably get there in no time at all. Perhaps the best part of the XP event, is that playing with your Crew will also double any of the Crew bonuses that you gain. Jackpot. The Double XP event will be spread out across all platforms which means Xbox LIVE, PSN, and PC players will all gain access to the XP boost. In celebration of the Double XP weekend, Rockstar is set to live-stream the Social Club event on Friday July 6th, from 4-7 PM EST / 9 PM - midnight BST. They will be playing through all modes, including the Local Justice DLC recently released. If you want to jump into the hail storm of bullets with Rockstar, log into your Max Payne 3 multiplayer, select "Social Club Multiplayer Event" from the Playlist menu, and then search for one of these official Rockstar players: MaxPayneDev1 (PC) MaxPayneDev2 (PSN) MaxPayneDev3 (Xbox Live) MaxPayneDev4 (PC) There will also be an additional PC player, MaxPayneDev5, that will be playing between 2-4 PM EST / 7-9 PM BST. This will be streamed live on Rockstar's Twitch page. Checking out Rockstar's Social Club multiplayer events page will let players see the dual live stream, special event leaderboards, and even a Rockstar hosted live chat. You'll also be seeing a Rockstar Sweepstakes that allows you to enter your information in order for a chance to win a Deluxe Prize Pack which conatins a Max Payne statue, a Hawaiian Shirt, a bullet keychain, and a variety of stickers. Maybe if you win the Hawaiian Shirt gives you heightened multiplayer awareness. Hey, it's just like the one Max wears in the game, you never know.
