Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War - 7 Leaked Details You're Not Supposed To Know

FINALLY.

Remember Shadow of Mordor? It was pretty much the only truly great game to come out of the featureless dirge that was 2014, emerging as an Assassin's Creed clone at first, only to develop into something far more special the more you played.

Namely, that was down to the fantastic 'Nemesis system'; a multi-faceted feature where any random orc foot soldier could get promoted through enemy ranks if they struck you down, dynamically creating a 'main villain' alongside big bad Sauron, that you'd personally develop a stern hatred for. Said characters would taunt you upon defeat, make stunning, "Remember me?!" comebacks in the heat of battle, and could be mind-controlled to fight figures within and outside their own factions - all whilst you amassed an army of your own.

That's the basics, anyway. 'Shadow of War', the title Target mistakenly leaked way ahead of time (most likely for an E3 reveal) aims to beef up every part of where Mordor left off. At time of writing, Warner Bros. and Monolith are yet to comment on this, but that hasn't stopped us amassing a pretty clear picture of what's coming all the same.
