It’s safe to say that there should now be absolutely no doubts in anyone’s minds about when Creative Mode will be making a grand entrance into the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft. Fans will be happy to know that the popular XBLA port will be able to watch the new mode appear in their menus with title update1.8.2.
This has been confirmed by 4J Studios via their official Twitter feed..

In addition to providing fans with information on the liberating building mode, 4J Studios hinted that they would be looking at expanding the size of the world map. This has been a complaint among many of the PC converted fans. Sure, the Xbox 360 version’s map is quite big, but comparing it to the PC counterpart reveals the true world size shrinkage. Remember, it’s not the size of the world that matters, but how you use it’s resources that matters.
It is important to remember the exact words of 4J studios:
“We do intend to look at that longer term”
Sadly, we don’t have a confirmation that the team will, without a doubt, increase the map size. For now fans will have to cling onto the hopes that 4J Studios’ wording means that it will be coming at a longer time from now, and not simply that it will be an idea they “look” into.
Now it seems that the only thing left to do is wait for an official release date for the patch.

Well it’s August 7 right now and still no creative mode! The only update that has been made is the update for bug fixes. Which I may add, they have fixed the duplicating glitch and at this point, duplicating is no longer available on Minecraft. So much for an awesome update… :(

I will be so happy when creative mode hits the Xbox. There will be no more use for this duplicated glitch everyone has had to use. If u ask me I think they put the glitch in on purpose just to give gamers that taste of what creative mode would be like.( To those that don’t already know)
I think that the just didnt patch it because, your right, they wanted everyone to know what its like and let them use that while we are all waiting for creative mode to come out. Hope it comes out soon!!

Ummmmm actually on sept 15th the world wil reset by a lavatornadacane. It will rain lava and cause a tornado and a hurricane and create a tornadacane then it will suck up all the lava and make a lavatornadacane. It will be so massive it will create a black hole and suck everyone up and send everyone to the beginning of time so it is very unlikely for the update to come out later then sept 15th

Agreed you guys BUT, i think they may be delaying it and looking over it to check for bugs and things plus the game was released for xbox at about half 5 so they may be releasing it around 7 ish to make things seem a little more interesting… will be annoyed alot though myself if they release it and its a load of rubbish… after waiting all this time for the update they better make it a good’en :/

Update may be in two weeks from September 15th or in October, or December. 4J is still coding and fixing glitches/bugs in the Minecraft system. Please don’t get angry, They are still working on it to make it as fun as possible for all you Minecrafters! This was confirmed by Mojang and 4J Studios to announce the future updates.

4JStudios has have confirmed the release for the update finally!! The announced that it will finally be coming out for xbox360 on October 16th which is tomorrow, at 2 AM and at 10 AM for the UK!! We finally got what we were waiting for!
