Centers: Brook Lopez, Buck Williams, Darryl Dawkins
Forwards: Julius Erving, Vince Carter, Richard Jefferson, Derrick Coleman
Guards: Jason Kidd, Drazen Petrovic, Bill Melchionni, John Williamson, Kerry Kittles, Michael Ray Richardson
Starting lineup: Lopez, Erving, Carter, Petrovic, Kidd
The Nets didn't have a lot of success after they moved from ABA to NBA apart from a small window during which they reached NBA Finals two years in a row in 2002 and 2003. The team was led by Kidd and Jefferson, who both make the all-time roster.
Erving, Williams and Melchionni are team legends, Petrovic was a potential superstar who died too early, while Lopez scored the most points in team history. These players are rather unanimous, the rest of the roster becomes problematic though.
Coleman was a talented, but lazy power forward, whose questionable work ethic stopped his development. Dawkins is the third center, because he enjoyed his best years with the Nets and was one of the best dunkers ever, next to Carter.
Kerry Kittles was a member of those two Finals teams and one of the best shooting guards playing for the Nets. The last player to make the team is Michael Ray Richardson, probably the best combo guard in team history.
