New Medal Of Honor: Warfighter Details Emerge

The sequel to EA's first modern era Medal of Honor game and again focuses on Tier 1 operatives undertaking missions loosely based around actual events and people.

We've got some brand new details about the upcoming Medal Of Honor game thanks to CVG. The sequel to EA's first modern era Medal of Honor game, Warfighter will again focus on Tier 1 operatives and will have players undertaking missions loosely based around actual events and people. Danger Close will once again be taking the reigns of the project and will be developing both the single and multiplayer components of the game. DICE will have no involvement this time round. That isn't to say they won't be completely absent though. Warfighter will be using the Frostbite 2.0 engine from Battlefield 3 so we can look forward to a high level of graphical power. Missions will apparently be more varied and offer players a much larger range of choices thanks to new mechanics such as choosing to breach a building using C4, flashbangs or simply kicking the door in. Characters from the previous game are also said to return with Preacher, Voodoo and Mother being listed as some of the familiar faces. However they won't be going on this ride alone. The details state that Tier 1 operatives from other highly trained units will also make an appearance such as the British SAS, the Australian SASR, the German KSK and the Polish Grom. The details don't state whether these will appear in the single-player campaign and have players switching between units not unlike Call of Duty, or if they'll be relegated to multiplayer. On the multiplayer side of things fans of the previous game can expect a new one shot kill hardcore mode for a more authentic battle experience and some kind of co-op component. The original game was met with mixed reactions from the press and the public alike. Did you enjoy the first game and are you interested in seeing how this latest attempt will turn out?
