New Year's End - Bioshock Fan Film

With the Bioshock movie just yesterday losing another director and slipping back into development hell, plucky Youtuber Jared Potter steps forward to give fans a glimpse of what might have been with this slick fan film. As per any game to movie adaption things jar slightly here but it's hard to refute how well the atmosphere translates in the dark resonant halls of rapture. Will a Bioshock movie ever get made? "BioShock is one of those rare pieces of entertainment that stays with you. The story, the characters, the world created by the team at 2K and Irrational left an impression on me unlike any game I€™ve ever played. I was drawn immediately into the idea of making a fanfilm. Not a parody, not a fake trailer mashup of other people€™s work, but a truly original creation set within the world of the games. I wanted to go there. I wanted to visit the city of Rapture, and that desire kept me going through the months of post-production. It has turned out to be one of the greatest experiences I€™ve had working on a movie, and I hope to somehow get the chance to return."
