Nintendo NX: 7 Reasons Why 2016 Release Is A Bad Idea

Too soon.

Nintendo are stirring. Realising what a colossal mess the Wii U turned out to be, the Japanese gaming giant has wasted no time in formulating its successor, but is it a case of 'too soon' for Nintendo after reports emerged to suggest the new console could hit shelves by Christmas 2016? It would be a bold move for the NX to drop this year, and while many would say that's the sort of statement Nintendo need to make, there's genuine concern over whether they'd be ready to launch a whole new system within the year. It's mid-generation, so if done correctly, the NX could be a dark horse contender to become PS4/Xbox One owners' second machines, drawing the masses back to the former industry pioneer. It's plain to see that Nintendo operate separately from the main pack, and their original games are almost always their finest, so it could be a masterstroke for sales releasing a new console in the middle of the PS4 and Xbox One's lifespans. However, the main concern is that Nintendo need QUALITY to win back their audience, not just clever marketing. Here's just a selection of reasons why a 2016 launch could be disastrous for the NX.
