Nintendo Reveals 23 Games That Will Launch Alongside Wii U

With the launch of Nintendo's next big console imminent retailers in the US have ben forced to put a halt on any pre-orders as stock has already been sold out. This is without a doubt a good sign for both Nintendo and the games industry as a whole but we all know a console is only as good as the gaming content supporting it around launch day. We were promised over 50 titles by the time Wii U came into stores (between November 2012 and march 2013) but up until now actual clarification had not come through. Well, today Nintendo announced 23 titles that will definitiely be available for the consoles launch and they should keep most gamers happy in the meantime. The complete list is as follows: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Skylanders Giants Transformers Prime Wipeout 3 Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two FIFA Soccer 2013 Tekkan Tag Tournament 2 Wii U Edition New Super Mario Bros. 2 Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge Nintendo Land SiNG Party Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper Darksiders 2 Assassin's Creed 3 ESPN Sport's Connection Just Dance 4 Rabbids Land Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013 ZombiU Scribblenauts Unlimited Game Party Champions Batman: Arkham City Armoured Edition These 23 games will then be followed in November by these 9 titles: Trine 2: Director's Cut Chasing Aurora Cloudberry Kingdom Mighty Switch Force HD TANK! TANK! TANK! Nano Assault Neo Little Inferno Toki Tori 2 Madden NFL 2013 Although there will be plenty to go at for those lucky enough to get their hands on a Wii U from launch there is a distinct lack of so-called 'big titles' like Mass Effect 3 or Rayman Legends, both of which have been hotly tipped to appear on Wii U from the get go. Will this mean the console sales suffer during that all important first run or is there enough interest already to help carry it through beyond Christmas? What do our readers think? What titles are missing? Have you pre-ordered a Wii U? Are the games available at launch important to you as a gamer or are you happy to wait until the good titles hit the shops? Let us know and have your say. The Wii U is launched on November 18th.
