Nintendo Switch Online: 10 More SNES Games It Desperately Needs

9. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles In Time

Games about pizza loving, ninja fighting mutant turtles not enough for you? This time Konami threw in time travel. The result? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV, a great side scrolling beat ‘em up and the best TMNT game ever.

Series regular Kragg nicking the Statue of Liberty is the catalyst for the turtle’s time hopping adventure. The slight plot doesn’t really matter though. Fans of the series were back for more ass-kicking action and TMNT IV delivers the rock solid controls they’d come to expect.

The bright, colourful graphics and animations are great too. Not a minor concern when your game has to bear comparison with a popular Saturday morning cartoon. The 16 bit SNES console made this the best looking Turtles game yet. Imaginative stages include pirate ships, prehistoric dinosaur caves, the Wild West and a space station.

The game has been remade for newer consoles but the original version had never made it to a Nintendo e-shop or virtual console, so it would be good to see it hit the Switch.
