The buildup to the Nintendo Switch's release was defined by mystery and, unfortunately, not much has changed since launch. Outside a few triple-A games like Super Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 2, the company has been largely mum on what the future holds for early adopters.
Because of that, gamers have begun turning to the rumor mill for news en masse, and one of the most-discussed titles therein has been Pokémon Stars.
Chatter about the title started all the way back in 2016, and whispers have popped up in many forms since, ranging from a Gamestop leak to an odd cutscene being opened up with the Pokemon Bank update. While Nintendo, Game Freak and The Pokemon Company have neither confirmed nor denied the game's existence, all signs seem to point to a Nintendo Switch Pokemon coming at some point.
With that in mind, it's worth discussing what we could see from a potential mainline Pokemon game on the Switch and what we do, and don't want from it.
