Play Castlevania... in Minecraft

Take a look at one man's recreation of a Konami classic within the world of Minecraft.

Minecraft for many is a place to explore, build, and hide from creepers. However there are a growing number of players building amazing things, or in the case of one chap, recreating a classic game in the Minecraft world. As seen over at Game Informer, one man took it upon himself to recreate Konami€™s classic side-scroller, Castlevania within the blocks. The man behind this creation, Nick €œNario€ Hagman, made the world over the course of 37 days, taking over 100 hours to complete it. He has said that no mods were used, and that every block was placed by hand. Anyone who has played Minecraft will know, this is no mean feat. Hagman also did a playthrough of the world, with his friend Divinebeing recording it from a side-scrolling perspective. As you can see in the video below, the results are pretty amazing. http://youtu.be/0FcggcigiuI If you want to have a go at the world you can head over to Hagman€™s YouTube page to download it along with a custom Simon Belmont skin. Having watched the video, it is sure as hell impressive, but possibly more interesting to watch from the side-scrolling perspective than to play itself simply due to the restrictions of the original game.
