Just three years after Pokémon burst onto the scene with Red and Blue, trainers were given the chance to explore the Poké Universe further by starting all over again in Johto. Along with a new region came new gym leaders, new challenges and, of course, new Pokémon.
Following on from the wildly popular Red and Blue versions of the game was a tough act to follow, but generation two, to this day, is widely thought of as one of the strongest entries in the entire franchise.
