Pokemon Go has been sweeping the globe ever since it launched at the beginning of July, credited with promoting exercise among nerds, even while it raises a number of valid concerns about safety and how it could be exploited for nefarious purposes.

Unsurprisingly, the augmented reality app has made huge headlines worldwide not only for its historic success, but also because of the sheer abundance of bizarre happenings that have occurred in its wake.

Ranging from hilarious interactions between Pokemon and real-life to birth, death, violent crime and abject stupidity most of all, it's safe to say that this game is bringing out both the worst and best in humanity. And as more people download the game each and every day, the crazy news headlines are unlikely to slow down any time soon.

Here are 15 insane Pokemon Go moments you need to see...

One of the unfortunate realities of Pokemon Go inviting players to explore their local rural areas is that it means people, often young teens, are stumbling upon some unexpected sights, namely dead bodies, and naturally being horrifically traumatised as a result.

There are already numerous reports of players discovering corpses while out catching Pokemon in San Diego, Wyoming and New Hampshire, and as the game rolls out worldwide, these headlines are only likely to increase while the game's novelty factor remains at an all-time high.

In slightly less depressing news, though, the game did also allow two Massachusetts players to save the life of a man who they found overdosed on a park bench, so that's nice.
