With the first proper trailer finally delivering on some hotly-anticipated gameplay footage and features for Pokémon Sun & Moon, the internet is positively buzzing with speculation about what the rest of the game will have in store. We've seen the new region - the Hawaiian-inspired 'Alola' - and have been introduced to the starter Pokémon; Litten, Rowlet and Popplio (for the record, I'm completely Team Litten!).

And while there's also been a fleeting glance of the games' Legendary Pokémon through the trailers and box art, these small morsels of information are all we have to tide us over for now. But how are we supposed to satisfy our thirst for more seventh generation goodness? With speculation and predictions, of course!

Last month I brought you my take on ten features that Sun & Moon need to fix from the previous generation, but this time I'm casting my mind back to the very beginnings of Pokémon as a series. While much of the current focus will be based around what brand new features this new generation will bring, I want to look at forgotten features that are due a timely return.

Without further ado, here are ten features from past generations that simply must return with Pokémon Sun & Moon!

10. Get Gift Pokémon Sent Straight To The PC

Multiple characters throughout existing generations of Pokémon games will offer the player a Pokémon for free, usually in return for providing some service or completing a challenge. In the earlier games, these could be accepted no matter what else you already held in your party of six.

Since Gold & Silver, however, gift Pokémon given in-game could not be accepted by the player if there were already six occupied slots on the team at that time. As a result, players have to go through the rigmarole of visiting a Pokémon Center PC, depositing one of the team and finally traipsing back to the gift-giver to take the Pokémon - or egg - into the newly freed slot.

While this is hardly a game-breaking issue, it is a bit of a frustrating process and one that the series could certainly do without. Allowing gift Pokémon received from other characters to be transferred straight to the PC if the player's team is full, would be a welcome reintroduction to generation seven.
