Though there are plenty of reasons to be sceptical about this belated shooter sequel delivering on its potential - an extremely prolonged, roughshod production history for one - the newer trailers are at least looking more encouraging, right?

If it can live up to even just some of its promise, Crackdown 3 could be one of 2019's most addictive multiplayer offerings.

With the much-hyped cloud-driven destruction mechanics apparently still being in the game, and a go-for-broke style that doesn't take itself too seriously, it's possible the long gestation period finally results in a fun time in the very least.

As for why such an uncertain project is on this list? Well, Crackdown 3's big selling point is that it'll be available on Xbox Game Pass day one, so no matter how it turns out, you can try it yourself for just a few bucks.
