Ranking Every Boss Battle In Spyro: Reignited Trilogy

12. Gnasty Gnorc

Toasty Spyro
Activision

How the mighty have fallen. Gnasty Gnorc featured highly on the list of most anticipated bosses in Reignited, but those rose tinted glasses are powerful stuff. Defeating Gnasty Gnorc originally marked the first time many kids fully beat a game.

Now though, most players returning to Spyro: Reignited have been gaming for years and will have beaten hundreds more bosses, not least those in Ripto’s Rage and Year Of The Dragon. With that in mind, Gnasty Gnorc falls disappointingly flat.

The ‘battle’ consists of chasing two thieves then Gnasty, with a one hit kill at the end. Unlike the other bosses on the first game, Gnasty has no real lead up to speak of. No other enemies that can deal damage, nowhere to explore but simple (if winding) corridors. Gnorc Cove and Twilight Harbor have to serve as the build up, needing to be completed before Gnasty can be tackled. But for Gnasty himself, there’s nothing other than the simple, ugly gnorc to catch.

The worst part is that if you mess up while chasing Gnasty, you have to start all over again to catch those annoying thieves. Twice.
