Ranking Every Tony Hawk Game From Worst To Best

16. Tony Hawk: Shred

Credit where it's due: Tony Hawk: Shred was a drastic improvement over Ride in just about every single conceivable way. Considering how terrible Ride was, however, that's not exactly saying a whole lot. Shred was still a rather lame experience overall, which wasn't helped by the fact that its release was doomed from the start thanks to Ride's controversial reputation.

Yes, it was far more responsive and playable than Ride ever was, but it still had some major issues regarding the skateboard controller that you're forced to use. Plus, the gameplay was still very clunky, and only marginally more fun than before. And much like with Motion, the inclusion of snowboarding was all but inconsequential.

Shred is absolutely the better game, but still not exactly a good one in its own right by any stretch. Still, at least they actually tried this time.
