Red Dead Rebellion: 10 Most Believable Rumours We Want To Be True

In development since 2010 with more details coming later this year, can Rockstar top Redemption?

Alongside Naughty Dog, Rockstar are one of those industry heavyweights that can dictate their own artistic direction when it comes to sequels and iterations on established franchises, rather than going down the Ubisoft route and churning one out every year. It's precisely because they hold onto their properties until they're polished to a mirror sheen that they end up doing so well upon release. Which is why the idea that they're already very far along on the development process of Red Dead 2 is so exciting. Another sequel to the Red Dead name, few of us forget due to Redemption's staggeringly high benchmark for open-world gaming, that it was actually a sequel itself - Red Dead Revolver was a very different beast indeed. That was mainly down to Revolver actually being developed originally by Capcom, with its more arcade-style feel being cast away for Rockstar's signature take - turning into 'Grand Theft Horse'. Easily one of the greatest games of all time and beloved by critics and fans alike, publisher Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick stated Red Dead is to be thought of as a "permanent franchise", thereby setting the rumour mill spinning again as to just how they could capitalise on Redemption's success.
