Red Dead Redemption 2 has the potential to be the standout open-world title this year. Considering the amount of stellar titles gamers have already received this year, that's a huge accomplishment.

The hype surrounding Red Dead Redemption 2 comes from not even knowing anything new about the game. We don't know how many characters we'll be playing as, when the game takes place or even what the story will contain. Despite this, gamers are already more hyped for Red Dead Redemption 2 than anything else - save maybe The Last of Us II. The game remains a complete mystery at this point, although E3 2017 could be where we learn more.

Because of the lack of official details, fans have been speculating on what new features might be included in the next western epic. Considering how adored and seen to be 'perfect' the original Red Dead Redemption was, it's surprising how many different features are being requested.

Many of these would make the world feel much more fleshed out in comparison to the first, as well as adding depth to various gameplay mechanics. Whatever their function, they could all serve to make Red Dead Redemption 2 one of the best games Rockstar ever make.
