Red Dead Redemption 2: 10 Things You Must Do First

10. Unlock Fast Travel As Soon As Possible

In line with Rockstar's deliberate approach to RDR2's story, fast travel options are fairly limited throughout the game, and aside from taking either a stagecoach or a train, the early going will require you to basically ride your horse everywhere.

As gorgeous as the game's world is, once you've invested a fair whack of time into it, you'll probably start to feel a little exhausted by the busy-work travelling. Though RDR2's fast travel options are pretty meagre, they're still worth unlocking.

Once you've finished the lengthy prologue section and made it to the first camp, you can unlock fast travel by upgrading both Dutch's and Arthur's tents, costing just north of $500. Fast travel will then be available as a map nailed to the back of Arthur's tent.

This will allow you to travel to major areas you've already visited, though sadly it's only a one-way transport and you'll need to slog your own way back. It's an easy way to save time, though it's also a shame this option isn't a little more user-friendly.
