One of Red Dead Redemption 2's most useful mechanics when out in the wild is that of the campfire. It enables players to craft, rest and stay warm, but they may want to think twice about leaving the flame burning the next time they leave.

Should Arthur forget to douse the flames on his camp, the fire will spread and engulf the nearby woodland. This can prove to be especially problematic when you consider that it decimates the wildlife too, leaving the player short on resources, and high on guilt.

So, folks, remember to douse those flames next time - lest you be paid a visit from a particularly restless bear.
