We knew it, you knew it, Rockstar knew it - Red Dead Redemption 2 is every bit the hype-capitalising product of perfection the industry has been waiting for.
A prequel set 12 years before 2010's Red Dead Redemption, you dive head-first into the the Van Der Linde gang at the height of their influence. Playing as Arthur Morgan (a character mysteriously absent from the first game... so make of that what you will), Rockstar have spent a staggering eight years crafting one of the most meticulous recreations of the wild west across any medium.
Seriously, the more you pick apart and analyse what's on offer, the more jaw-dropping every last aspect is. It seems Rockstar have took their time for many a reason; looking at what made the original such a landmark release, and treating it as a foundation to go bigger and better.
