Resident Evil 6 DLC Mercenary Maps Split Between Retailers

Three exclusive maps for the "Mercenary Mode", unfortunately they're all at three different retailers.

Capcom recently revealed the information that folks who pre-order Resident Evil 6 at Gamestop, Amazon, and Best Buy would all be receiving an "exclusive map" that coincides with the "Mercernary Mode" the Resident Evil series has become known for. Unfortunately, each map will be different based on where you pre-order your copy of the game. The classic mode allows gamers to play as their favorite characters, and fight through enormous waves of enemies within a set time limit. All of this effort is put forth in order to accumulate the highest score possible, and prove your worth as an elite mercenary. Ready to check out the exclusive maps? Feast your eyes, and get ready to make a tough decision. The Catacombs map is available exclusively at Gamestop. Enemies will lurk around every corner, and with booby traps galore, you're in for a difficult challenge if you're reflexes are lacking. The High Seas Fortress map is available on Amazon.com This gigantic stage takes you from an aircraft carriers deck to the hangers inside. The top of the deck will find you in the midst of intense shoots outs, while the narrow corridors within will test your hand-to-hand capabilities. The Rail Yard map is available at Best Buy. This stage will find you battling across multiple levels in the confines of steel and concrete. Hiding among the shadows of the train cars and roofs, enemies are everywhere. Be sure to keep moving, or find yourself swarmed and outnumbered. All of the maps sound like they will provide a wide variety of different combat types. It's disappointing to see so many companies commit to this type of pre-order incentive. I can understand unique outfits, or even unique guns at different retailers, but I just can't seem to get behind exclusive maps. Specifically when it will diversify the online component of a game. This only hurts the multiplayer that can provide a prolonged life to the title. By dividing up players at launch who may not be able to play on the same maps with friends, seems like a foolish move to me. What are your thoughts? Have you already decided where to pre-order, or do you have a copy reserved at all three?
