Shadow Of The Colossus: Every Colossus Ranked From Worst To Best

14. Quadratus (Colossus #2)

The game's second colossus makes one hell of an entrance, smashing through a brick wall as it prepares to throw down with Wander.

Quadratus is a more intricate beast than its predecessor Valus, requiring the player to fire arrows at the glowing undersides of its hooves, felling it and allowing Wander to climb up the creature's fur to find the weak points.

Figuring out the trick to scaling the colossus ensures it's a little more challenging than Valus, and the maze-like fortress of this colossus' back is fun to climb around, even if ultimately it doesn't make much of an attempt to shake you off. An enjoyable enough escalation of the first fight, if hardly memorable.
