Skyrim DLC: Dawnguard Released On PS3 In Europe Today

The release today of "Dawnguard" on the PS3 in Europe brings to an end the DLC saga for the Elder Scrolls franchise.

dawnguard Bethesda will release the third part of their trilogy of Skyrim DLC content on PlayStation 3 consoles in Europe later today, according to Examiner. With "Dawnguard" set to hit the PlayStation Network later today, it mercifully brings to a close a protracted and increasingly frustrating saga for the downloadable content on the Sony system and fans will have at long last caught up with Xbox 360 and PC users, who received much of the content months ago. A number of "performance related issues" prevented the DLC's immediate launch on the PS3, according to developers Bethesda, though these issues have now been resolved. This month, the PlayStation 3 has been drip-fed Skyrim DLC week by week, starting with "Dragonborn" on February 13th, followed by "Hearthfire" last Tuesday. The release today of Dawnguard - which allows the player to choose between joining a vampire cult or fighting against it - finally brings to a close the DLC saga for the popular RPG epic and by the end of play today, all three DLC titles will be available on the PlayStation 3. A fourth piece of Skyrim DLC, allegedly titled "Redguard", is rumoured to be in the works. Bethesda€™s parent company ZeniMax Media Inc. filed to trademark the term "Redguard" earlier this month, as they have done with previous Skyrim DLC, however Bethesda's Pete Hines has thus far distanced himself from such speculation with nothing yet confirmed. As with all PS3 Skyrim DLC content, Dawnguard will be available on a 50% discount for one week only, so hurry while it's cheap.
