Skyrim "Dragonborn" DLC Coming To PS3 After All?

A Tweet by Bethesda states that the developers are "close" on new DLC for the PS3.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim could actually be making its way onto the PS3, according to a recent Tweet by developers Bethesda. The news comes in the same week that the official trailer was revealed for Dragonborn - the successor to the Dawnguard and Hearthfire expansion packs released previously this year - stating that it would be exclusively released onto the Xbox 360 on December 4th, costing 1600 Microsoft Points. However, just when PS3 fans had started to abandon all hope of ever seeing DLC content arrive on their systems, having already missed out on the last two due to a series of performance related issues, the below Tweet appeared from Bethesda this week giving Sony console users fresh hope. Unfortunately, nothing was mentioned pertaining to a release date for the content on the PS3 and PC, and it is unknown when it may eventually appear on the aforementioned systems, but the good news is that Bethesda appear to be close to completion on the DLC. It is also unclear whether the statement refers to Dawnguard and Hearthfire also being released onto the PS3 or if the console will just be receiving Dragonborn, for the time being at least. The trailer for Dragonborn confirmed that Skyrim players will return to the land of Morrowind for the first time since the release of 'The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind' back in 2002, as well as Solstheim. It was also confirmed in the trailer that the ability to mount and ride dragons will also be possible, an exciting prospect for many fans. The new expansion pack appears to revolve around a plot tasking players to defeat the first Dragonborn, who has been consuming Dragon Souls in a bid for power. The Dovahkiin will presumably be tasked with freeing Solstheim from his presence once and for all by siding with the dragons, a sworn enemy of gamer's in Skyrim. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was voted 2012 Game Of The Year at the Golden Joystick Awards, as well as picking up an award for "Best RPG".
