Skyrim Prequel: Elder Scrolls MMO Revealed

Elder Scrolls Online announced and will be released sometime in 2013.

The June issue of Game Informer magazine has revealed that ZeniMax Online Studios is working on a MMO based on the Elder Scrolls series. According to the issue Elder Scrolls Online will allow you to cover the entire world Tamriel 1000 years before the events of Skyrim. Providences that will be included are: "Cyrodiil (where The Elder Scrolls IV was set) and Skyrim (setting of The Elder Scrolls V). " Here is what game director Matt Firor had to say:
"It will be extremely rewarding finally to unveil what we have been developing the last several years, The entire team is committed to creating the best MMO ever made €“ and one that is worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise."
More of the single player story and the PvP will be shown off when the June issue of Game Informer hits stands next month. However, they will be releasing new information about the game over the month; a small teaser trailer is scheduled to be released tomorrow morning. The game is scheduled for a 2013 release on the PC and MAC most likely closer to the end of the year. I do have to say I was kind of scared when I heard this game was in development more for the fact that I thought Bethesda would be the ones working on the game. But fortunately ZeniMax Online Studios is the team developing the game, this means that the Bethesda can move on to making either the next full Elder Scrolls game (maybe but not likely) or what I hope they really are working on, Fallout 4.
