Sony Announces Details For Journey Collector's Edition

Journey Collector's Edition details announced.

Last week it was rumoured that Journey would be getting a retail copy that would be released with the downloadable games Flower and flOw. Today Sony confirmed this and has announced that the Journey Collector's edition will be released in North America on August 28th. The pricing for the Collector's Edition will be $29.99 in North America. The release date and price for the game outside of North America have not been released as of yet. The game will include multiple extras on top of the three games already included: 30 minute documentary on the making of Journey, concept art for all games, the soundtrack for all three games, and creator commentary for all three games. thatgamecompany talking about the creator comentary for the three games:
"We are particularly excited about the Creator Commentary play-throughs of all three games, because we get to share with players insights about flOw, Flower, and Journey straight from the minds of the designers, artists, engineers and composers who worked together to make these games so special."
Here is the official trailer for the game: http://youtu.be/8dkUjQezczs Finally thatgamecompany will be including three new mini games that have never been released outside of their company before. Here is what thatgamecompany had to say about the mini games:
"Another great feature included on the disc are the three exclusive mini-games born out of a thatgamecompany tradition: the 24hr Game Jam. As the name implies, each game was created by us, start to finish, in 24 hours. So for the first time ever, thatgamecompany€™s mini-games, Gravediggers, Duke War!!, and Nostril Shot, will be available to play outside of our studio. We share these mini-games as a €œthank you€ to our players for supporting us over the years. In case the names didn€™t already give it away, these mini-games showcase thatgamecompany€™s lighter side with madcap competitive multiplayer action. We hope you sincerely enjoy their silliness as much as we have."
When people talk about video games as art, these are the games people tend to mention the most (along with Shadow of the the Collossus); that is why I will be picking this Collector's Edition up on day one .
