Spider-Man PS4: 10 Major Worries Nobody Wants To Admit

With great hype comes great... worry?

Out of all of the games that have yet to come out in 2018, Marvel's Spider-Man remains as one of the biggest and most anticipated.

And why wouldn't it be? Having a huge budget put into it and being developed by an amazing studio like Insomniac Games means that fans are getting excited for some pretty fair reasons. Even against games like God of War and Red Dead Redemption 2, Marvel's Spider-Man still manages to stand on its own.

Despite all of this good buzz, it seems like the hype for this game might be making people a little unwilling to talk about some of the things that might be major issues in the final release.

Let's face facts: Spider-Man games of the past are far from perfect. Most aren't even that good. There are so many issues that have plagued the webhead's past outings that it's pretty likely a few might seep into the new release. That's not even mentioning the qualms this entry has created all on its own.

Nothing would make me happier than this game being the best Spider-Man experience it can be, and I have faith in Insomniac to make that happen, but let's start being realistic here.

10. Swinging Not Being Fast Enough

One of the earliest emerging worries (besides the controversial suit design) for Marvel's Spider-Man is that the swinging looked much too slow. Has this really been fixed?

Upon seeing the game in action at E3 2017, a lot of fans noticed that Spider-Man's swinging speed was considerably slower than it had been in previous games, which caused a lot of concern for the general gameplay feel.

Through Insomniac's own reassurance and the latest footage that we've seen from the game, it does seem like the swinging has been fine-tuned quite a lot, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the swinging is at the right speed yet.

The best outcome would be for Marvel's Spider-Man to include a boost button like in previous games, or gradually give Spider-Man more and more ways to get around.

Considering how important web-swinging is to the whole character of Spider-Man, it's pretty essential that this is something that the game does right.

Jumping through portals, swinging through cities, destroying beings made of darkness and occasionally shooting a gun or two. I also write about games.
