Spider-Man PS4: 11 Fan Demands That Must Happen

11. Fewer QTEs, More Player Control

Although the blistering first gameplay trailer for Spider-Man blew people away, the amount of quick-time events that were littered trough the footage set off alarm bells for fans still reeling from having to mash buttons to punch a boulder in Resident Evil 5.

They admittedly resulted in some cool Spidey moves, as they launched the superhero into feats of acrobatics that wouldn't be possible in regular gameplay, but the reliance on them to sell the spectacle of the trailer left fans wondering whether the game's coolest moments would all be relegated to these glorified cutscenes.

Fortunately the devs have attempted to alleviate concerns about these QTEs, pointing out that out of a nine-minute demo, only 20 seconds of gameplay ever limited the player's control. It's clear that Insomniac are listening to feedback, and the backlash to the quick-time events will no doubt have already resulted in more player freedom in the main game.
