14. Redirect Yourself In Mid-Air & During Combat With L2

Carrying over from The Amazing Spider-Man games - where you could pause in mid-air and choose specific contextual points for Spidey to whip onto - here Insomniac have expanded the idea perfectly.

Done by holding L2 whenever in you're in mid-air, time slows to a crawl and you can actively redirect Spidey in any direction. It's perfect for chasing down random crimes or quickly spotting a backpack on the side of a building.

Hold L2, spin the camera and then tap R2 when facing a wall or ledge, and Spider-Man will do the rest.

Brilliantly, this carries over to combat. Leap into the air or otherwise find yourself off the ground and you can hold L2 to pick out far-away enemies or get yourself out of trouble. It's best againat rocket-wielding enemies or taking to the rafters, occasionally breaking sight so you can go back to stealthing about the place again.
