Sponsored Video: Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare - A Shooter With A Difference

"Put down the shot-gun. Pick up a dolphin." Only one game could ride on the back of a call to arms quite so odd: the highly-anticipated XBox One release of Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, which was released on 28th February. The game digs into the trenches with an explosive new Co-op and Multiplayer action experience, building on the phenomenal success of the original app from PopCap. Typically, players can expect the usual Plants vs Zombies humour, set against the backdrop of a more traditional online shooter that allows players to control either plants or zombies for the first time, with new levels, new characters and a massive amount of customisation. The game is already stacking up as one of the most entertaining experiences of the year, and it all comes down to PopCap and EA's commitment to capture exactly what made the game so success on mobile on a grander scale. It's a very slick, very entertaining shooter that adds an entirely new element to what we would usually associate with PopCap, who have otherwise become famous for the puzzlers - and it is to their eternal credit that they've made the transition to consoles a supremely successful one. As games get more "weighty," it is a breath of fresh air to play something as self-consciously colourful and quirky as this. Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is available to buy now on XBox One.
