Star Wars Battlefront 2 Controversy: 9 Things You Need To Know
8. Two Major Studios Have Been Pulled Off The Project
(The initial post that leaked from inside EA/DICE HQ has now been removed, but various copy n' paste versions are available - including this, for now.)
Mentioned in the above poster's breakdown of what was to come in the Season 2 update (a "leak" that only gained credence after accurately describing two new skins for Lando and Leia that are now up on EA's own forum), a rather shocking, worrying detail is that two of EA's studios are no longer working on the game.
Both Criterion and Motive have apparently been redirected onto a "new triple A" game, leaving only DICE to pick up the remaining pieces and continue development.
Needless to say, this is more than worrying going forward, as fans are notably aware of putting money and time into a game that is no longer fully supported by EA.
The amount of money Battlefront 2's launch controversy cost EA is no secret, and if this has translated into any higher-ups cooking figures and realising it's worth "moving on", the fans deserve to know.
